Lower Bench House

Penticton, 2025

This project in the vineyards of Penticton takes an existing farmhouse and turns it inside out. The original foundation is retained as a ruin, which frames a courtyard garden and pool. The original roman brick fireplace becomes an outdoor firepit, overlooking the garden and vineyard. Around this green heart is arranged a super-efficient dwelling, opened up to panoramic views of the valley.
